Lisa M, Co-founder

I have worked in customer service as a makeup artist for over 20 years. I have a great understanding of listening to people and meeting their expectations and needs. I have always worked within large teams, and a happy crew makes for a successful retreat! How did I come to be working in the retreat Industry? I needed a new direction.

I was overweight and stressed out. My brother Oliver suggested I do the Diploma in Raynor massage, and I found my natural ability to work with peoples energy and their emotions suited this massage technique and me perfectly. I was then invited to do the 2nd stage of the course. I changed how and what I ate, my outlook on life and took up meditation and yoga. I lost the extra weight and am fitter, happier and healthier than two years ago.

I then decided late in 2017 to join the Retreat People Team. In a week we will give you the tools you need to make small changes that make significant differences. I haven't looked back and neither will you! Come and experience The Retreat People Magic!


Oliver W, Co-founder

Oliver is a trained massage therapist, yoga teacher and is passionate about sound-frequency-technology for more profound healing. After years in the music business as an international DJ - he knows a thing or two about creating space through music.

He also thrives in retreat environments and has the opinion that, “If you really 'are what you eat,' then inspiring guests to explore healthier options and enjoy authentic, restorative, home-made meals, is my priority.”

Modern day living leaves us spoilt for choice, and we have a vast selection of quick-fix, highly processed foods that make us sluggish and often compromise our bodies and digestion.

With a background in pop-up restaurants and coming from a family of head chefs, Oliver Walkers' passion for real food is infectious. "Using local produce where ever possible and favoring super fresh, organic food, "I always aim to pack a meal full of nutrients, making homemade meals from scratch and adopting a healthy love of 'whole foods' is an approach that your bodies and souls will appreciate."

Lucy B, Co Founder and Yoga Teacher

Lucy B is an antipodean import from the Southern Australian lands, with talent in her hands. A confessed dreamer with a massive case of wanderlust; her fingers in many pies, she loves a task and enjoys life's journeys.

Her passion is people, hearing their stories, connecting and inspiring them through the healing arts and natural therapies. Thriving in retreat environments, she is on her quest to re-connect with her higher vibratory self through yoga, meditation, superfoods, and learning ancient wisdom's. Her motto being 80/20 she is well aware that you also need to go easy on yourself sometimes and choose 'the path of least resistance.'

Life is for the living, after all. Even a trained Doula, she is full of wisdom and can help ease you into motherhood and assist in creating the perfect birth plan specific to your needs.


Jacqueline P, Yoga teacher

.Jacqueline (E-RYT 500) is a highly qualified and experienced teacher, having delivered classes, retreats and teacher training all over the world.

Initially training in Ashtanga Vinyasa with the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois and Derek Ireland in India, she is now a qualified Jivamukti, pregnancy, postnatal recovery and baby yoga teacher.

As the founder of Yoga Shala Ibiza, Jacqueline also hosts 200 and 300 hr and pregnancy and postnatal yoga alliance teacher training on the beautiful island of Ibiza as well as guest teaching at teacher training worldwide.

Jacqueline has a wealth of experience hosting retreats and yoga holidays. Her classes are accessible for everyone and suitable for all levels and abilities.

Jacqueline's teaching style is engaging and inspiring; her classes integrate elements of meditation, pranayama, asana, and relaxation.

The emphasis is on empowering students to listen to their body and to deepen their practice safely.

Lise M, Fitness trainer

With over 20 years of professional experience in the industry, Lise Metraux is a master. She has been devoted to fitness since a young age, competing as a runner with the UK sprint team, taking part in Olympic Lifting events for England and more recently as a CrossFit Athlete in the United Arab Emirates.

Now as a Trainer, she uses her extensive skills and experience to help others. Her passion is to make fitness fun and inclusive, while simultaneously being challenging and rewarding.

It's all about the 'move well and feel well' factor. As Lise, herself explains: "You can't move forward standing still in life. My style of training involves utilising the available space and resources around you. I work with functional, varied style movements, body weight training, speed, agility, and coach Olympic Lifting."

Juliet M, Founder of VOGA (yoga and vogue)

Voga is a fusion of Yoga and Vogue; fitness and fashion set to an 80s beat and designed to empower."

Having known first-hand how it feels to suffer but fully recover from depleted energy levels with post-viral chronic fatigue in my teens, my main priority since has been to cultivate energy and help others prioritise health, well being and a zest for life.

I created VOGA after the illuminating moment that life can be everything you want it to be. Free your mind, combine your passions."

Juliet has been practicing yoga for the last 15 years and trained in Sivananda Amboli Ashram, India, 2011, she created VOGA to help others believe in their inner power and connect to the physicality of the body through breath, movement, and music, making your fitness experience a social and memorable experience.


Jessica J, Artist and Yogi

Jessica is an Artist, Yogi and fitness lover from the UK. She thrives on delivering the full package of holistic training through accessing the mind and body in her practices.
Jess will guide you through taking on challenges in your daily yoga and fitness routine to then counterbalance this with meditation and art therapy, leaving your physical and mental state feeling nourished as you indulge into the free flowing love of inks and water colours.


Adam K, Holistic fitness coach

Fitness is my passion. I believe in taking a holistic approach to exercise. This means combining both my physical movement with mindfulness. I believe without finding mindfulness you cannot reach your body’s full potential. Currently I hold the boxing Victorian Welterweight State title and Australasian title. My journey as a professional athlete began by focusing on purely the physical aspect of exercise and performance. But with maturity I have learnt the right mentality is needed for effective improvement. State of consciousness, awareness and being present are essential to finding the right mentality. It is where I find my drive, my focus and my happiness. I seek to obtain full control of my mind, as the one who has full control of their mind will obtain the power to use their physical body to achieve anything they desire. I believe in this holistic approach to training and use it to influence my clients to help them become better versions of themselves on all levels physically, mentally and emotionally.


Veronica A, Healer and therapist

Veronica Amarelle - Healed Soles London. Bringing you a light, playful and deeply therapeutic approach to healing and wellbeing. With 13 years’ experience in the industry Veronica applies a holistic practice to her treatments, intertwining the incredible healing benefits of body work, energy healing and personal development to ensure each and every person is nurtured from the outside in and the inside out. Veronica is a Level 5, 5 elements reflexologist, a personal performance life coach, Reiki teacher and healer and Raynor Masseur practitioner.


Rob H, Massage therapist

Rob Horton Massage Therapies, Rob offers an alternative way of healing your body. Instead of your typical, treating the parts of your body that aches. Rob manages the whole body from the hands to feet.

Raynor Technique, a deep tissue massage which follows bands in your body which can hold tension and stress causing aches and pains.

This therapy is influenced using eastern beliefs, healing the whole body to remove tension and blockages (Butonge) and allows the Ch'i (Prana) life force to flow throughout the entire body.

This procedure is suitable for everyone and profoundly relaxing massage, it is also an excellent massage for sports people as a preventative and healing sports injuries,

Many different movements and techniques used in sports massage. Examples of these techniques include; Swedish style massage, effleurage (stroking), petrissage (kneading), compression, friction, tapotement (rhythmic striking), vibration, gliding, stretching, percussion, and trigger points. These movements and techniques are used to try to help the athlete's body achieve maximum performance and physical conditioning with a decreased chance of injury or pain and a quicker recovery.

Myofascial Cupping, a technique using suction and negative pressure provided helps to loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system, making it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure. Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.

Reflexology balances the nervous system. Working with the circulatory system, breaking up congestion and deposits in the feet, which in turn help detoxify the body. Stress relieving helps combat depression and anxiety an overall healing experience.

Reiki uses energy to balance the body and mind. Benefits are improved digestion, assisting in the body's natural healing processes. Induces deep relaxation, improving stress and overall wellbeing.

Baby massage soothes your baby with many added benefits improving digestion, circulation, calming the nervous system excellent for colic, teething, constipation offering a great way to bond with your baby.

I have created a unique process integrating coaching and hypnotherapy within a cacao-facilitated workshop, guiding those I work with to reach high levels of self-mastery and to live life fully.

I do this through group workshops guiding people through a process that I formed through my training in holding and delivering Cacao ceremonies with the Cacao Shaman in Guatemala 6 years ago. I spent two years in total learning how to use this method to assist people in exploring within themselves to achieve the profound shifts and breakthroughs in their challenges or issues to achieve true happiness and fulfillment within their life.
